30 Sep Hope for the Little Ones
Hello family and friends,
I hope you all are overflowing with the peace and joy that only Jesus can give. First, I would like to apologize for the long delay since our last update. As many of you know earlier this year we had to fly home, yet again, for a family health emergency. We have now been back in Cambodia for nearly 6 months and have been running hard the entire time and just haven’t made the time until now to update you on all the things going on here.
It’s been busy but a lot of exciting things are happening here. One of the Ministries that Jillian and I lead is an outreach to homeless children and families in one of the red light areas. In this area children are exploited in every way imaginable and very few have the opportunity to go to school and seek an education. On top of that, most have no form of identification and could not go to school even if they had the means to. Over the last several months, working with a province chief and government officials, we have been able to get identification for 7 of our children. Through our Stop For The One sponsorship program these children are going to be able to go to school for the very first time starting this month. Here is the link if you want to learn more Stop for the One .
One other exciting things I wanted to share with you all in this update is that our Iris Cambodia Baby House has officially opened. We have rented a beautiful home to house abandoned and at risk of being trafficked infants and babies up to 1 year of age. I know it is hard to imagine but babies straight from the womb are at risk of being sold and this is where this new ministry is stepping in. We take these children in, provide a home, food, loving care and assist in finding them a forever home with families where they will be safe and loved.
Continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue to go out into the darkest areas of the city to reach the lost and rescue the abused.
A couple of specific prayer requests:
– new national staff (children and families workers as well as nannies for the baby house)
– full time missionary to help run the baby house
– finances for all our growing ministries
– breakthrough in multiple trafficking cases we are working on (I cannot share details)
We love you all and pray for you all regularly. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. If you want to see more of our day to day life, and short testimonies follow us on Facebook and Instagram @Beloved_ministries_global
