Hello again family and friends! I pray all of you are overflowing with peace and joy from the Lord!
During this time of being bombarded by negativity and bad news I wanted to write you with some good and exciting news.
I want to share about one of my absolute favorite things we get to do here in Cambodia…
PROVINCE OUTREACH!

I know we have shared with you previously about other outreaches we have done but every single one is always so powerful and Jesus is glorified. This time around we had the privilege of visiting a village that borders Vietnam. I wont attempt the name because I can neither spell nor pronounce it. We do two outreaches a year; a smaller one with just our Phnom Penh team and a larger one that includes individuals from our multiple base locations; this one was the latter.
We went into a remote village preaching the gospel and teaching about trafficking prevention. These remote villages especially along the borders are targeted heavily by traffickers because it is easy to move people across the border where it is more difficult to find and rescue individuals. We were able to reach several hundred people with information and steps on how to protect themselves from this sort of exploitation as well as distribute lots of school supplies to all of the children. But most importantly, we had the chance to share the life transforming gospel over 3 incredible days. Seventy plus people gave their lives to Jesus and many received healings of various kinds. This would be way too long of a blog if I included all of them so I will share my two favorite testimonies from our few days there.

1. On day two our team broke up into small groups to visit families in their homes throughout the village. One group met a woman that could not lift her arm and had extreme pain throughout her shoulder and arm. After praying, the woman could lift her arm partially but still had some pain. The next morning she ran into our camp with extreme joy throwing her arm in the air. When we asked her what happened she said “In the night while I was sleeping I had a dream of a man dressed in all white. He came into my room and touched me on the shoulder.” When she woke up she was completely healed. Safe to say she then received Jesus as her lord and Savior!
2. Again, on house visits one of the teams met a family that we believe were the local witch doctors. When questioned about this they denied that they practiced any witchcraft but within the house were many symbols and objects that told us otherwise. One of the signs was a dead snake hanging from the ceiling and its blood dripping into a bowl. The blood was mixed with alcohol and was said that drinking it would make them strong. The family revealed that their son (around 15 or 16 yrs old) was disabled from birth. He couldn’t walk on his own and had to be carried almost everywhere he went. His hands were curled up and he also had difficulty speaking. The parents used many forms of witchcraft including the snake blood to try to heal their son. During the visit, our team prayed for him and his hands began to straighten. The entire family saw and we got to share the gospel with them. We prayed a few more times and then invited them to our evening meeting we were having that night. To our surprise, that evening the family actually came and attended our session where we shared the gospel and prayed for the sick. When our team prayed for this young boy he received a miraculous healing. Much strength and healing came to his body and he was able to move and walk on his own for the first time. Although he was not 100% healed we are continuing to believe for his complete recovery. The entire family were prayed over and they all received Jesus and vowed to give up the practice of witchcraft.

Wow! Jesus is amazing. He always moves so powerfully when we do a province outreach. We believe the nation of Cambodia is ripe for revival and we will continue to go out into these remote areas to deliver the gospel. Our next outreach was scheduled for June but is now postponed because of Covid19. Please continue to pray for our team and for the end of this virus so we can resume reaching out to these areas.
